Candela

Two lasers in one platform

The 755 nm alexandrite offers high melanin absorption and suits lighter skin and finer hair. The 1064 nm Nd:YAG penetrates deeper and is less absorbed by the epidermis, extending treatment to darker skin types. Switching takes a single button press.

DCD cryogen cooling

The Dynamic Cooling Device releases a brief cryogen spray just before each laser pulse. It cools the epidermis without handpiece contact, supporting patient comfort and skin protection at higher fluences.

Large spot and short pulses

A spot of up to 26 mm and repetition rates up to 10 Hz speed up treatments on the back or legs. A short-pulse mode from 2 ms supports work on fine hair, and according to the manufacturer fluence is higher than in the previous GentleMax Pro generation.

Versatility beyond hair removal

The same platform supports treatment of benign pigmented and vascular lesions as well as skin rejuvenation. A broader menu means better daily utilisation of the device.

Questions & answers

When should I choose 755 nm vs 1064 nm?

755 nm is typically used for lighter skin types (approx. I–III/IV) and finer hair, whereas 1064 nm is preferred for darker and tanned skin and deeper follicles. The final choice depends on skin assessment and a test spot.

What are the consumables?

The main consumable is cryogen for the DCD system; consumption depends on the number and size of treated areas. Periodic service inspections per the manufacturer's schedule are also required – Future Life supplies cryogen and provides service.

What are the main contraindications?

Typical contraindications include pregnancy, active infection or inflammation in the treatment area, a fresh tan or self-tanner, photosensitising medication (e.g. isotretinoin), a tendency to keloid scarring and suspicious lesions at the treatment site. The full list is in the manufacturer's IFU – we recommend a consultation and a test spot before the first session.
