DEKA

Moveo technology

Moveo is an in-motion technique with direct skin contact and lower fluence, using multiple passes over a small defined area. Contact reduces the energy reflected by the skin, and gradual follicle heating supports patient comfort.

Alexandrite for tanned skin, too

According to the manufacturer, the Moveo technique allows the alexandrite laser to be used on tanned patients too – traditionally a limitation of this wavelength. This helps extend your treatment season.

Automatic spot recognition

The system recognises the connected 5–20 mm handpiece and adjusts parameters accordingly. This reduces the risk of error when changing handpieces and speeds up treatment set-up.

Pigmented lesions – Moveo PL

In addition to hair removal, Motus AX treats benign pigmented lesions in Moveo PL mode. This additional indication increases device utilisation beyond hair removal.

Questions & answers

Does the Moveo technique require special training?

Yes – in-motion work requires mastering the sweep speed and number of passes per area. Future Life training includes hands-on practice of both the Moveo technique and the classic stamping mode.

Is alexandrite suitable for the darkest skin types?

755 nm is strongly absorbed by melanin, so for the darkest skin types it is used with particular caution or a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser is preferred. Eligibility is decided after skin assessment and a test spot.

What are the main contraindications?

Typical contraindications include pregnancy, active infection or inflammation in the treatment area, a fresh tan or self-tanner, photosensitising medication (e.g. isotretinoin), a tendency to keloid scarring and suspicious lesions at the treatment site. The full list is in the manufacturer's IFU – we recommend a consultation and a test spot before the first session.
